The Free State Brewing Company is the best brewery in Lawrence, KS. It has the distinction of being the 1st legal brewery in Kansas since prohibition times. The owner was instrumental in getting liquor laws changed in Kansas prior to opening.
The Free State Brewing Company or simply "the brewery" as us locals refer to it always has 4 main staple beers on tap
-Wheat State Golden Ale
-Copperhead Pale Ale
-Ad Astra Ale (dark reddish almost brown ale)
