Boston Beer Company To Pull Plug on MA Brewery Plans Boston Beer company, the brewer of Samuel Adams has agreed to purchase a Pennsylvania brewery from Diageo North America (Guinness) for $55 million. This effectively kills Boston Beer Companys plans to build a new brewery in Freetown, MA. Even though the company was in the early developmental phase, the loss will be felt in the regional where the new brewery would have provided much needed jobs. read more
